In life, there are moments that we cherish forever. Memories that we hold onto tightly, hoping that they will never fade away. But then, there are those moments that we wish we could change. The moments where we let someone slip away, the moments where we didn't fight hard enough for what we wanted.
In another life, I would make you stay. I would hold onto you with all my might and never let go. But unfortunately, this is not another life. This is the only life we have, and sometimes we have to accept the things we cannot change.
It's heartbreaking to think that someone who meant so much to us is no longer in our lives. We're left with a gaping hole in our hearts, a constant reminder of what we lost. We try to move on, but it's not easy. Memories flood our minds, and we can't help but wonder what could have been.
The sad truth is, sometimes people just aren't meant to be in our lives forever. We meet them, we love them, and we lose them. It's a painful cycle, but it's a part of life. It's up to us to decide how we want to handle it.
For me, I choose to embrace the pain. I choose to let it remind me of the love I once had. I choose to use it as motivation to love harder, to fight harder, and to never let someone slip away again.
So, to the one that got away, I hope you're happy. I hope life has been good to you, and I hope you know that you will always hold a special place in my heart. In another life, we would have made it work. But for now, I'll cherish the memories and hold onto the hope that maybe, just maybe, we'll meet again someday.
